Coffee and sourdough donuts at the same address as the hotel, open every day from 7 in the morning.

The Square Room is a separate business: not part of Volume Hotel and not a hotel service. Orders and payment go directly to them.

What it is

The Square Room is a café at Jl. Dr. Djunjunan No.153, the same address as Volume Hotel. Its Instagram bio says it in three words: "Square & Sourdough". The donuts are sourdough, fermented for 36 hours, and there are mini donuts for when one is too much.

What to order

From what they post: manual brew, coffee, juices, smoothies and sandwiches. Two drinks have names worth remembering. Dirty Square is homemade milk with a ristretto shot. Matilda Chocolate is made with 63% Callebaut. Our own favourites: the Cereal Milk and the Ispahan.

The room itself

A 2026 project: interior by Studio Wangun, with furniture and lighting made for the place by Studio Mahardika. The idea is a room built from boxes, inside and outside running into each other. Look at the materials: composites made from textile waste, strong woodgrain, soft upholstery, marine plywood and tinted glass.

For hotel guests

It opens at 7, so an early check-out still leaves time for a coffee, and it stays open until 9 at night.
