Bandung’s city airport is back on the commercial jet map. Its terminal is about 1.3 km from the hotel in a straight line.

What changed

Husein Sastranegara (BDO) is the airport inside Bandung itself. Commercial jet flights stopped there in 2023. On 14 August 2026 they came back: a Garuda Indonesia Boeing 737-800 from Denpasar was the first to land, welcomed with a water salute.

How far from the hotel

On OpenStreetMap, the terminal building is about 1.3 km from Volume Hotel. That is a straight line, not the driving distance. The actual route by road is longer, and the time depends on traffic.

The back road via Sukawarna

Guests can leave the compound at the back, onto Jl. Sukawarna, by car or on foot. From there the way locals call “lewat Sukawarna” runs west to Jl. Sukaraja, then along the airport’s east fence on Jl. Kapten Tata Natanegara down to Jl. Pajajaran, where the terminal entrance is. It is drawn in green on the map.
